Paralegal - Executry Team
Part-time hours (approx 16 initially) to be agreed (flexible)
Salary depending upon experience and qualifications
We have an excellent opportunity for an executry paralegal to join our firm in Edinburgh. This role is to provide executry and wills services for clients with whom we seek to build and sustain a longstanding relationship.
Main duties & responsibilities:
Ability to deal with all client work in relation to the administration and winding up of Estates
Ability to complete all Court & HMRC forms in relation to Executry Estates
An up-to-date knowledge of the law and current practice in relation to Executry work is required
A keen interest in continuing to keep up-to-date on changes via courses and seminars is essential.
Drafting of Wills and Power of Attorney
Role specific requirements:
Previous executry experience is essential
While a Paralegal qualification would be desirable it is not essential but an interest in obtaining a paralegal qualification would be preferred.
Interest in other areas of law would be beneficial
Experience of using a Cloud based case management systems and email is desirable
Be a highly motivated team player
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational and time management skills
Able to produce accurate and well presented documentation
IT literate using Microsoft office (Word,Excel,Outlook)
