We have a vacancy for a Paralegal to work in the busy Criminal Court department in our Alloa office.  

The role is to work closely with the Partner and Solicitors in the criminal court department, providing them with a high standard of support handling a wide variety of cases.  This is an excellent opportunity for a Paralegal or Court Secretary to develop their career in a long established Scottish legal firm.

Candidates must have:

  • experience of working in a criminal court department as  a Paralegal or a Legal Secretary with significant experience in this type of work now ready to progress into a Paralegal role;
  • good knowledge of Scottish criminal court procedures;
  • excellent IT skills;
  • strong administration skills;
  • first class interpersonal skills, with a professional manner and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people;
  • a high level of literacy and numeracy;
  • the ability to work unsupervised in  a proactive fashion, using good time management skills
  • a full driving licence and access to a car as there will occasionally be a requirement to travel to other locations.

 We offer a competitive salary, pension scheme membership, a 35-hour working week and 32 days annual holiday.
